Fabrication & process piping / QATAR
What we deliver
Orbital TIG welding
Automated orbital welding with 100% back purging, producing smooth, crevice-free internal weld beads that will not harbour product or bacteria, supported by manual TIG where geometry demands it, executed by 6G-qualified welders.
Process line installation
Full erection of process lines to hygienic standards, including CIP and SIP circuits, product transfer, drainable slopes and dead-leg control, and sterile air and gas services to filling machines.
In-house fabrication
Prefabricated spools, skids and manifolds built and tested in the workshop, cutting site welding to a minimum — which matters more in hygienic work than anywhere else, since shop conditions produce better and more inspectable welds than a live production floor.
Electropolishing
ASTM A270 tube electropolished and validated to a surface finish of 0.6µm Ra or better, with mill and mechanically polished finishes offered where the specification allows.
Material supply and sourcing
Direct-mill procurement with EN 10204 3.1 certification, in 304/304L, 316/316L (the primary specification for coastal chloride resistance in Qatar), 321 and duplex, to ASTM A270 sanitary tube, A312 and A213.
Testing and documentation
Weld mapping, boroscopy, dye-penetrant and radiography, hydrostatic testing, and chemical passivation to ASTM A967.
APPLICATION GUIDE
Where this fits your project
Hygienic piping is designed around the product and its cleaning process. Tube finish, junctions, valves and the ability to clean and drain the system all influence the suitability of a process line.
Details to resolve before work begins
Confirm the product, cleaning chemistry, temperatures and inspection requirements before fabrication. Documentation may include material identification, weld records and agreed inspection evidence; the exact acceptance package should be defined in the purchase scope.
Selection & project coordination
The installation is coordinated with site access, adjoining systems and the operating requirements of the facility. Inspection, commissioning and documentation requirements are agreed as part of the project scope.
Questions before you start
Why should cleaning requirements be specified before pipe fabrication?
Cleaning conditions influence material compatibility, seals, routing and connection details. Defining them early helps ensure that fabrication and equipment interfaces suit the intended production and cleaning cycle.
What information is needed to quote for food-grade & hygienic piping?
Please provide product and cleaning chemistry, tube grade and finish, cip/sip conditions, weld inspection and traceability requirements. Include the project location, drawings or equipment schedule, required delivery date and any consultant specification. This helps our team identify the correct scope before pricing.
How is the food-grade & hygienic piping scope agreed?
The team reviews the drawings and site conditions, identifies interfaces with other trades, and sets out the deliverables and exclusions in a written quotation. Technical submittals, inspection requirements and handover records are agreed to suit the project.
Discuss your Qatar project
Contact Aamtron’s Doha team with the project location, drawings and required programme. For occupied buildings or operating facilities, include access restrictions and permitted work windows. Product availability, delivery timing and the agreed scope are confirmed with the quotation.
