A control panel should be developed around its connected loads and required operating sequence. Pump sets, motors and process equipment may need different combinations of protection, starters, drives, controllers and operator interfaces.

Confirm the installation environment, enclosure arrangement, cable entry and heat dissipation requirements. A panel enquiry should also state labelling, drawings, component preferences and the factory and site testing expected for the project.

Selection & project coordination
