APPLICATION GUIDE
Where this fits your project
Fire alarm systems bring together detection, notification and the interfaces specified by the building fire strategy. Device locations and system programming should follow approved project documents, with changes coordinated through the responsible design and approval process.
Details to resolve before work begins
Define panel compatibility, zoning, device schedules and cause-and-effect interfaces. Testing should address the agreed system functions and connected building equipment, with clear records and operating information for the owner.
Plan the connected systems

Selection & project coordination
The installation is coordinated with site access, adjoining systems and the operating requirements of the facility. Inspection, commissioning and documentation requirements are agreed as part of the project scope.
Questions before you start
Can new alarm devices be added to an existing system?
The existing panel, available capacity and device compatibility must first be confirmed. Any extension should be reviewed against the approved design and the project authority requirements before installation.
What information is needed to quote for fire alarm installation?
Please provide approved fire drawings, building use, device schedule, required cause-and-effect interfaces. Include the project location, drawings or equipment schedule, required delivery date and any consultant specification. This helps our team identify the correct scope before pricing.
How is the fire alarm installation scope agreed?
The team reviews the drawings and site conditions, identifies interfaces with other trades, and sets out the deliverables and exclusions in a written quotation. Technical submittals, inspection requirements and handover records are agreed to suit the project.
