Waterproofing & building protection

Roof, wet-area, tank and below-ground waterproofing selected around the substrate, moisture source and exposure conditions.

Civil, fit-out & protection / QATAR

What we deliver

Liquid membranes (SR Coat MT, MTX and MTR 50)

Hybrid urethane-acrylate coatings with high adhesion, formulated to bond to damp substrates and cure in around an hour, which makes them suited to fast-turnaround wet-area and roof work. The textured MTR 50 grade accepts tiling directly over the membrane, removing the need for a separate protection screed in bathrooms and terraces.

Cementitious coatings (SR Flex and SR Flex XL)

Acrylic-modified cementitious systems that are breathable, potable-water safe and rated to a 50m hydrostatic head, making them the specification for water tanks, sumps, lift pits, retaining walls and foundations, including negative-side applications where water pressure acts against the coating.

Polyurethane membranes (SR Coat PU 270, PU 370, PUD and TC)

Single-component elastomeric membranes, solvent-free, with elongation in excess of 250% and genuine crack-bridging capability — the systems for exposed roofs, decks, podiums, planters and car-park slabs where the substrate moves and the membrane has to move with it.

Damp proofing (SR Coat DP20)

A tough elastomeric, low-VOC damp-proof coating applied to external walls, plaster and concrete to stop rising and penetrating damp, salt efflorescence and moisture staining on villas and older buildings.

Repair and sealants (SR Quikseal)

General-purpose patch and repair sealant that bonds to wet, dry and even submerged surfaces, used for flashings, gutters, cracks, pipe penetrations, upstands and emergency leak stopping ahead of a full system application.

Flooring and deck systems (SF Deck, Toughcoat and Resibound)

Decorative and slip-resistant deck and floor coatings, including polyurethane deck systems and resin-bound stone, for balconies, terraces, walkways, pool surrounds and car-park decks where the surface must be both waterproof and trafficable.

Areas covered

Roofs and terraces, bathrooms and wet areas, swimming pools, basements and foundations, water tanks, balconies and planters, metal roofs and gutters, and car parks and decks. Also offered alongside the SR range where a project specification calls for it: torch-applied bitumen membranes, crystalline systems, injection grouting for active leak sealing, and protection boards and screeds.

APPLICATION GUIDE

Where this fits your project

Waterproofing starts with identifying where water enters and how the substrate and joints behave. Roofs, wet areas, tanks and below-ground structures have different exposure conditions and detailing requirements.

Details to resolve before work begins

Record previous repairs and inspect junctions, penetrations, outlets and changes of level. Define preparation, compatible primers, reinforcement and protective finishes within the proposed system, and agree inspection or testing before completed work is covered.

Selection & project coordination

The installation is coordinated with site access, adjoining systems and the operating requirements of the facility. Inspection, commissioning and documentation requirements are agreed as part of the project scope.

Questions before you start

Why can a leak return after a surface repair?

The visible damp area may not be the point of entry. Unresolved joints, penetrations, drainage or substrate movement can allow water to bypass a local patch, which is why diagnosis should precede product selection.

What information is needed to quote for waterproofing & building protection?

Please provide leak location and history, substrate and existing coating, area and access, required finish and warranty scope. Include the project location, drawings or equipment schedule, required delivery date and any consultant specification. This helps our team identify the correct scope before pricing.

How is the waterproofing & building protection scope agreed?

The team reviews the drawings and site conditions, identifies interfaces with other trades, and sets out the deliverables and exclusions in a written quotation. Technical submittals, inspection requirements and handover records are agreed to suit the project.
