Direct-to-chip liquid cooling

Liquid cooling at the processor, integrated with coolant distribution, facility water and heat rejection for high-density computing.

Data-centre liquid cooling / QATAR

What we deliver

Direct-to-chip cooling

Cold plates transfer heat from processors into a liquid loop. The system must be coordinated with the server manufacturer, coolant distribution unit and facility heat rejection. Confirm the supported hardware, coolant chemistry, operating temperatures and residual room-cooling load before equipment selection.

Heat rejection and dry coolers

Six units. ICP15 rejects 15kW with integrated pump and fan, edge and outdoor rated with low-noise EC fans. ICP40 rejects 40kW with an integrated heat exchanger, harsh-climate rated, minimal maintenance and plug-and-play, for edge data centres, telco closets and branch offices. The 120kW unit operates in 55°C ambient with optional adiabatic boost, corrosion-resistant coils and silent EC fan arrays. The 240kW unit adds adiabatic boost, redundant fan banks and smart variable-speed control, optimised for 45°C water in Middle East summer conditions. The 1MW facility-scale unit offers adiabatic operation with water recycling, high-ambient capability and full BMS integration. The 2MW unit is a V-shape high-density design with best-in-class approach temperature, a zero-water-use option and modular skid installation, pairing with the FDU 8MW for hyperscale deployments. The zero-water option deserves particular emphasis in this region, where water consumption is as scrutinised as power.

Dielectric fluids and coolants

The recurring revenue behind every immersion deployment, and the reason immersion clients stay clients. Thermasafe dielectric fluid is low-viscosity for better heat transfer, non-mineral-oil, non-toxic, non-allergenic and odourless, with a service life beyond ten years. Dielectric solvent handles cleaning and server maintenance after immersion, evaporating fast and leaving no residue, safe on all server components — the product that makes RMA and maintenance workflows practical, which is the objection most buyers raise against immersion. DCX engineered coolants come in multiple viscosity grades designed for immersion, competitively priced per litre, shipped in bulk across the GCC with full MSDS and compliance documentation.

APPLICATION GUIDE

Where this fits your project

Direct-to-chip cooling is relevant to high-density server racks where processor heat is transferred into a liquid circuit. It should be planned alongside the remaining air-cooling requirement, because not every component in a server is necessarily liquid cooled.

Details to resolve before work begins

The IT and facilities teams need one agreed interface schedule covering cold plates, manifolds, quick connections, leak detection, coolant quality and the CDU. Space for hose routing and service access is as important as the nominal rack heat load.

Selection & project coordination

The installation is coordinated with site access, adjoining systems and the operating requirements of the facility. Inspection, commissioning and documentation requirements are agreed as part of the project scope.

Questions before you start

Can direct-to-chip cooling be added to an existing data centre?

A retrofit enquiry needs confirmation of server compatibility and a review of facility-water capacity, pipe routes, power, monitoring and maintenance access. The available infrastructure determines whether a phased rack-by-rack installation is practical.

What information is needed to quote for direct-to-chip liquid cooling?

Please provide server and cold-plate compatibility, rack heat loads, supply and return temperatures, redundancy requirements. Include the project location, drawings or equipment schedule, required delivery date and any consultant specification. This helps our team identify the correct scope before pricing.

How is the direct-to-chip liquid cooling scope agreed?

The team reviews the drawings and site conditions, identifies interfaces with other trades, and sets out the deliverables and exclusions in a written quotation. Technical submittals, inspection requirements and handover records are agreed to suit the project.
