Access covers are selected for the opening and the loading environment, whether the location is a pedestrian area, landscaped zone, service yard or vehicle route. The cover and its frame must be considered as a complete assembly.
Details to resolve before ordering
State the clear opening, frame depth, loading class and surface finish. Where the application requires sealing, locking, lifting aids or corrosion resistance, include these in the enquiry rather than relying on a generic description of the cover material.
Selection & project coordination
Product selection is based on the duty, installation environment and project specification. Confirm current model data, dimensions, availability and applicable documentation with the quotation.
Questions before you start
Is cover material enough to specify a manhole cover?
No. Material alone does not establish the required loading performance. Confirm the applicable class, dimensional fit, frame support and evidence for the proposed assembly against the project specification.
What information is needed to quote for grp & ductile iron manhole covers?
Please provide clear opening and frame dimensions, required loading class, installation environment, quantity and project specification. Include the project location, drawings or equipment schedule, required delivery date and any consultant specification. This helps our team identify the correct scope before pricing.
Can Aamtron install grp & ductile iron manhole covers as well as supply them?
Supply-only and installation enquiries follow different scopes. Tell us which you need. Where installation is included, site access, supporting works, connections, testing and handover are defined separately in the quotation.
